Birth Data Questions

📅 Do I need to know my exact birth time?

Birth time enhances accuracy, especially for Bazi analysis, but it's optional. Here's the difference:

• With birth hour — You get a complete Four Pillars chart (year, month, day, hour), providing the most detailed analysis. The hour pillar is especially important for understanding later life, children, and hidden influences.
• Without birth hour — You still receive meaningful insights from your year, month, and day pillars, plus Western zodiac analysis. The reading will be less detailed but still valuable.

If you don't know your exact birth time, you can:

• Check your birth certificate
• Ask family members
• Select "Not sure" and still get a quality reading

🌍 What if I was born near midnight?

If you were born close to midnight (especially between 11 PM and 1 AM), the date might be ambiguous in Chinese astrology. The Chinese day starts at 11 PM (Zi hour), not midnight. If you're unsure, try both dates and see which reading resonates more with you.

📆 Which calendar do you use?

We accept Gregorian (Western) calendar dates. Our AI automatically converts to the Chinese lunar calendar for Bazi calculations. You don't need to know your lunar birth date—just enter your standard birth date.
